quick question. can't hand in escape pods. neither the power contact gave me the oppertunity nor the search an rescue contact. I need to hand in for the weekly tasks. Is it disabled?

Handing in escape pods for the weekly assignment DOES work. You don't get merits for collecting the pods themselves, but you get merits for the assignment.

You should be able to hand them in at the Power contact. If that doesn't work, I assume you collected them at the wrong location (too far away?) or are in the wrong system.

Also works (worked last week) for handing in superfluous pods that I collected while doing my weekly chores. You won't get (additional) merits, but at least you get some cash.

Hmm I am pretty sure I am in a reinfocement system where I got these and tried to hand them in in the same system. I will check after the maintenance.

Check the mission description, it will tell you if you need to hand in to the same system or a different one. I've done these multiple times over the last few weeks with no issues other than when I didn't read the description.
