I would like to see an "Escape to..." mission type, where the CMDR has to transport some life-or-death data to a distant location. The catch (and the factor differentiating this from a standard courier job) is that some hostile faction knows exactly where you are, where you are going, and sends DOZENS of ships against you to try to kill you in transit.
It should be an excruciating ordeal where the CMDR is interdicted almost immediately after nearly every jump, sometimes with interdictions chained one after another. They should be increasingly hard to evade and increasingly prevalent as the CMDR nears the destination. The interdicting ships should vary from highly engineered warships to swarms of fairly weak (but very numerous) small ships depending on the overall mission RNGs.
These missions should pay exceedingly well, and be a pretty much guaranteed rebuy for all but the most skilled CMDRs.
