Escaped from LHS 1963 in a cracked canopy

Tonight I faced one of the toughest challenges yet. I managed to fly back to Groombridge 1618 the nearest system with a repair station from LHS 1963 after a chance collision with an asteroid while in combat with Pirates in the RES. My Cobra was severely damaged with 5 mins left on life support so I piloted my ship with pieces of the HUD missing from the cracked canopy. I kept a cool head, claimed my bounty of 95K CR and reached Gernsback Terminal without overshooting it in SC. By the time I reached Gernsback Terminal in Groombridge 1618 I had 2 mins left on the clock.

For me this is what Elite is all about surviving against all odds to claim the ultimate prize.

Incidentally, if you bind a key to 75% throttle and then press that key when your time-to-destination reached 0.07s, you will never overshoot again.

Thanks for the tip but don't you mean time to destination 7s left? I'm not sure even James Bond could manage a keypress 7 milliseconds away.
