Escaping a Neutron Star Respawn

Again Thanks Baba_ you confirmed what I thought.
Alas the filter also negates Black holes. which I have a obsession for ;)
so I find my self mousing over a lot.

But my 2nd concern still stands. jumping into a NS / WD as a secondary / multi star system.
I recently passed up a system with 3 NS's ... I was too scared to try it. [sour]

That, I cannot answer, sir. If I come across a 3NS system I'll try it, if I'm not scared off first :)

I received a hint from the support.
Supercharge, fly away from the star, drop into normal space and then jump to the next system.
This way it should prevent you from respawn in a jet after a disconnect error.

I'm currently stuck in this very situation. Not dead yet, but close too it. Tried to low wake out, but then canopy popped. Am I right in thinking the AFMU can't fix that level of damage? Or will it do a magic repair if I can land on a planet jump in SRV and dismiss ship?
I'm waiting on a Frontier ticket to see if they can respawn me somewhere safe given the game crashed to caused this :-(
Worst case, I lose a week of exploration on way to Sag A and start again at good old Jaques!
Was quite enjoying the 135ly jumps too...

I've had this happen to me twice in the last two days. The only thing that saved me (apart from luck!) was that I fired one of my AFMU's running on the canopy as soon as I started taking damage. It can't outpace the damage, but it gives you a valuable few minutes to low wake out before it pops!

I'm unsure if an AFMU can repair an already popped canopy, but if it is treated like any other module, then yes it should. I've had modules (normally my heatsinks) damaged to 0% and used an AFMU on them to get them back to 100%

Last I checked the AFMU did indeed repair canopy. I had one blown out on a Fer de Lance in a previous save and it sealed and repaired it. Which was good as I only had 5 minutes of oxygen reserve.
