Escaping interdiction with fighters...

As a general rule, anything less dangerous than an FAS/FGS I'll fight, anything more dangerous, I'll run away from.
Depending on the skill level, Asps and Vultures are on the line - too skilled and I'll run. Not very skilled? I'll smash em up :).

Update: Now carrying a fighter with twin plasma guns, and my ship has three class 2 seeker missile launchers and (because they don't use much power and every little helps) two class 1 multicannons :).

Oh, and a power plant big enough to power everything [haha].

Hah! Did it again!
On the way to Julian Hub in Calor, got interdicted by a DBS. Fighter deployed, flight assist off, turn to get him in the sights.
Missile launchers deployed, by the time I'd swung the Type 9's big fat nose around to point at the DBS, the fighter had taken his shields down to about 4 or 5%.

I Gleefully hit the fire button, and three missiles streaked out from my launchers, taking his hull from 100% to 41% (!!!). A second salvo took him down to 1%, and the fighter finished him off.

I'm feeling pretty good about my Type 9 now and the fighter, we're gelling together pretty well :D. Between us, Magnolia (my NPC), I, and our respective ships, make a pretty awesome team :D.

EDIT: And on my way to Lave Station. Another Diamondback, another grilled pirate :D.

EDIT EDIT: Here's the big girl. As experience shows, she's more dangerous than she looks :D.
