I have bound my keys so that I used ESDF for controls (forwards/left/backwards/right) in my ship, mySRV and on foot.
I have set the UI_Up/Left/Down/Right to be ESDF
However, when I'm in a panel, the interface only recognises WSAD. I see a post from 2016 with this issue, but nothing more recent. (I note that "F" works as UI_Right, but the others are all overwritten by the WASD set)
Does anyone else use ESDF in the panels? How did you do it?
