Essential European animal wishlist

I made a meta-wishlist thread about the Central American animals. Check it, if you want:

The continent-based meta-wishlist threads are important, since we can bring this to the attention of Frontier, that expand the fauna of underrepresented continents/regions in the universe of Planet Zoo.

I start the second continent-based wishlist, which focus on my continent, which is Europe!
Also, Europe is a underrepresented region in the game just like Central America, however there is not much biodiversity in here.

RULES:
  1. All users may submit maximum 25 species, but could be less, if you want.
  2. Mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fishes and invertebrates are allowed.
  3. The species could be habitat or exhibit/WE animals.
  4. The animals at least should be native in Europe, but not necessarily endemic.

  6. Only wild animals, domesticated ones are not allowed!

All users may submit 12 species, given Europe's poorer biodiversity.
So for your Central America list when can vote for 20 animals despite many of us not knowing which animals to choose beyond the classical 4 or 5. However, for your European list we can only vote for 12 because you consider it poorer. That's not a good way to start the thread... That being said, here's my list of 25 European animals (with the number of zoos holding them according to Zootierliste):
  1. Wolverine (57)
  2. Wild boar (361)
  3. Alpine marmot (65)
  4. Crested porcupine (132)
  5. Great white pelican (226)
  6. Barbary macaque (152)
  7. European bison (143)
  8. White stork (457)
  9. Eurasian otter (144)
  10. European mink (47)
  11. European mouflon (459)
  12. Iberian lynx (7)
  13. Pine marten (47)
  14. European rabbit (29)
  15. West European hedgehog (44)
  16. Eurasian brown bear (179)
  17. European roe deer (248)
  18. Western capercaillie (47)
  19. Mute swan (268)
  20. Greek tortoise (160)

  22. European wild cat (141)
  23. Alpine chamois (51)
  24. European beaver (41)
  25. Ocellated lizard (65)
I haven't included the walrus because the walruses kept in Europe are Pacific walruses and so they are not European.

I modified the rules about the number of animals!

The ones with * are the ones that I'd definitely be interested in seeing in the game. Ones with ** are essential to me

Wolverine**
Crested Porcupine**
Mute Swan**
Wild Boar*
Walrus*
Golden Eagle (exhibit)*
European Rabbit
Golden Jackal
Barbary Macaque
Eurasian Otter
Wisent
Eurasian Eagle Owl (exhibit)
Barbary Sheep

Looking at animals that solely are in Europe, there's none that I have a huge interest in. All 6 of the ones I really have an interest in can be found in another continent as well. As can a lot of the rest of the animals listed.

Dude just go to one of the full meta wishlists and check out the european animals. We know what is in demand.
Full Meta-Wishlists are valuable but can also be misleading. When certain Animals take an Early Lead, people tend to vote for those Animals over ones that they really prefer. This happens particularly for Species that have Similar Substitutes: Sloths, Crested Porcupines, Monkeys, Deer, etc. Either the Full Meta-Wishlists should be restarted once in a while, or separate, smaller ones created for Different Topics or Regions to give Developers a chance to read the Actual Demand better, seeing Preferences can change from list to list. This, for instance, is why I place Similar Animals sharing a Common Name together in the same Type Group with a Breakdown on the Exhibit Animals Meta-Wishlist we run with Quell. This way people can vote for their Preferred Species over the Most Popular one, knowing their choice will still be at the top. It is a good system to minimize potential Bias.

The anylyzung areas thread by yoav_r is kinda already doing this. Except it has all the info condensed into one thread instead of cluttering the forums.
While Yoav's Thread on the Comparative Analysis of Areas is very valuable, it's still 1 Person's Analysis based just on 1 Iteration of the Full Meta-Wishlist, so creating separate Community Wishlists for more people to voice their Opinions is also valuable and definitely not in the definition of Cluttering. Basing everything on 1 Iteration of a Wishlist comes with a Risk of Bias, as I explained in my Comment, above. Therefore I will always support more Community Wishlists on different Topics.

The thread is not based on a wishlist, rather the collective wishlists of everyone to every area.

It's the same concept but as @YesIndeed less cluttered and more organized

well,I think the current lineup of animals in Europe is not bad, and because Eurasia is "together", so there may be many animals that cannot be said to be "unique to Europe", I will try to make my own list:
1、European Bison
2、Eurasian wild boar
3 、European roe deer
4、European mink

The thread is not based on a wishlist, rather the collective wishlists of everyone to every area.
Apologies, then. I thought you based it on Random Goat's thread. Although my Point still stands, since it is an Analysis by 1 Person, whether it is based on a Meta-Wishlist or not. Thank you for your valuable Analysis. 🙏 But I also find smaller, separate Wishlists useful and think these additional efforts shouldn't be frowned upon, as it sheds light on how much of the Results of Full Meta-Wishlists are affected by Bias.

This of course is not to say Full Meta-Wishlists don't have their Benefits. They have a huge Sample Size Advantage. Which is why I think Both Types are useful and needed.
