Relax Patrick, you have more to be proud of than the English, your team made great effort from start to finish, there is no shame in losing a close game to a good team.

I think it was just one of those nights when the key things went Portugal's way.
France had a few good shots on target where they broke down the defence but Rui whatsiface pulled off amazing saves - that isn't a failure of France it's exceptionally well done by the keeper.
If just one of those had gone in Portugal would have been forced to open up more and the game may have changed.
Even captain pouty going off seemed to help rather than hinder Portugal - maybe the French sub consciously thought it was a given then - who knows?
Anyway Portugal stuck to their game plan and it paid off in the end coming down to a long range effort through a hole in the defence that the keeper couldn't get to.

This never happens to Mick Jagger. A Rolling Stone gathers no moths.
Mais non monsieur!I say let traditional Anglo French hostilities resume temporarily until the outcome is known!Until then ...

It is reassuring that some things in this world will never change. And that the traditions are respected. World, sweet world !

France has proved this evening that it is not a great team.
They were good enough, and you probably would have won the thing if the progress of the tournament followed a more sensible structure. I also think Didier Deschamps should stay and continue his work with the french team.
