Europe DLC Pack

I see so many do suggestions about packs so I though, why not? I think we really lack animals from the European regions. In my opinion this is odd since we have some animals from this region thats quite popular amongst the player base when you take a look on random goats thread about our top 30 animals we would like to see in PZ. Anyways, here is my list!

1. Euroasian Lynx

A beautiful and highly requested animal that is a need in Planet Zoo. They exists on zoos so it wouldn't be strange to see them in captivity.

2. Moose
Moose or Elk.jpg

A majestic animal, a king of the forests, a iconic animal in the northern forests.

3. European Badger

4. Red Deer

One of the largest deer species in the world. It's both iconic and magnificent.

5. European Viper or Pheasant or Western Capercaillie

Depends if Frontier wants to continue with 4 habitat animals, 1 exhibit animal. Otherwise I would really like to see more birds.

This is what my pack would look like. What about yours?

It changes from time to time but I would go with:

  • Eurasian or Iberian Lynx
  • Ibex
  • Beaver
  • Red deer

B: It’s a great idea to include a mandatory bird in every pack for Europe I would go with Great Bustard (Otis tarda)

EX: Hermann's tortoise

And for NA I would go with (for me both of those packs should come together because they complement each other):

  • Moose
  • Puma
  • Wolverine
  • California sea lion

B: Wild turkey 🦃
EX: Chuckwalla

For me it's difficult to choose only 4, but today I would go for:
  • Red deer
  • Eurasian lynx (or Iberian, of course)
  • Alpine ibex
  • Wolverine (popular request) or European badger (less popular, but who can resits that cute face?)

For the exhibit, I keep my thought about the fire salamander, just because we don't have any salamander yet in the game.

The problem of having a moose, wolverine and Eurasian lynx in the same pack is that it would focus too much on northern Europe leaving a big chunk of the continent unrepresented. So I prefer to save the moose for North America and have the red deer instead, which is widely available in all Europe. I also read somewhere that American beavers are a bit bigger than the European ones, and knowing that Frontier prefer big animals, it is more likely that it comes in a NA pack too.

If we look at random goat's thread, there are enough requested animals from Europe to have it's own pack sometime in the future,

I've split the Europe Pack in two. Because ... for reasons.
It will never happen :D

The Badger can be replaced by the Wolverine, i don't like him, but i know for many of you its high asked.
The Mouflon can be replaced too, with the Wild boar for example. For me as a German the Wild Boars are a pest. I don't think you should use up a slot on them. But thats my opinion. The Marmot would also fit for the Mouflon. A large rodent from the Alps, i like the noises it makes

4. Red Deer
Largest deer species in the world, do I have to say more? It's both iconic and magnificent.
I'm not shure? isn't that the elk(Wapiti/Roosevelt...what ever) from NA?

As I've said before on other similar posts, I think a European pack is a good idea, even if not the most interesting animals. I'd like to see the Alpine Ibex, European Badger (those are the main two for me), European Lynx and Wild Boar. I'd take a Wolverine over the last two though as that would free up a spot in a potential North American pack.

Edited: upon reviewing, duh, Canadian lynxes would not be in Europe :ROFLMAO:

Yes sorry! one of the largest. I'm going to correct that error of mine. Thanks! :)

Btw, why do you think something like this will never happen. Many animals from the region are highly requested, so if Frontier do care I don't see why not.

sorry I didn't want to be petty

i don't think frontier is doing two same continent DLCs. We have two continent Packs at the moment, SA and australia. Both has very iconic animals from that continent. So i think, when Europe comes, it is filled with 4 iconic well asked animals. All the others comes in regional pack. Maybe an "Alpine Pack" or a "Rainforest Pack" or a "Desert Pack", maybe even a little more special like an "Amazon Pack" or a "Himalaya Pack"
Europe 1 and europe 2 (or australia 2 or SA 2) sounds bad. so i think they put the animals in other packs.
But we will wait and see :)

Actually the moose is the biggest deer species, but to complicate matters, European moose are sometimes called elk.
That's why I stick to 'moose' and 'wapiti' as English names, as 'elk' could refer to both.

I really hope you're wrong.

I would happily accept south america 2, australia 2, or european 1 and 2 and I strongly think the community would support it and buy them. I also think the PZ community has been very vocal about how underwhelming and disappointing the dlc models are. So a european dlc with only 4 animals would almost be like intentionally ignoring your fanbases voice.
