Agree about mediterranean/alpine regions from Europe, they definitely deserve more representation. Eurasian Lynx, Red Deer and Alpine Ibex, possibly also European Badger would already go a long way in that regard.
That said, the NA pack includes a variety of animals that can be used to represent at least Scandinavean areas, so there has actually been immense progress on that account. We can now build European sections with grey seals, timber wolves, moose, reindeer, beavers (considering that the European subspecies is not very different from the American one), and arctic fox and polar bear for the very northern regions. So, I'm very far from disappointed with this new pack even though I've been naming a Europe DLC as one of my top priorities for the game. And let's face it, NA has been extremely lackluster in terms of representation in the game as well, so this was a highly necessary pack in itself.
