I got back into EvE a few weeks ago after a break of a few years. Alpha clones were new to me I managed to convince the wife to play one and I re-subbed my main. Played for a few weeks. Same old EvE really. Now with this new update there will be more available to alphas so it is good if you want to play for free. Rogue Drone hives I have not looked at yet but did some security missions and seemed pretty much the same. The Agency I do not like at all or this Opportunities thing but if you are into a bit of logging in and casually doing something random it might be good. I was just glad there was an option to stop it cluttering up the interface.
Industry is pretty much the same but with a new interface depending on how long it has been since last playing. Seemed like the availability of factory/research slots is a lot better if not infinite now.
All in all if you want to play for free a lot has changed. If you want to re-sub once you have played for a week or so it will seem like pretty much the same game. Oh I forgot POS are changed completely since I last played and it is better.
I just wish they would make the play area / EVEverse a lot bigger, maybe ten times bigger. I liked it back around 2005 when there was a lot more.... space....

Yup, I even subbed for this month - it as great fun getting back toi the game after a year or so - so many changes. And I made tons of money riding those Drone Nest sites, and collected bunch of cool skins too.
I stopped playing Eve nearly a decade ago.
My skills probably haven't finished yet though. Lol
I keep and eye on Eve, but I basically won't play a subscription game ever again. It's not worth it.
