Even passenger rescue missions have been nerf'd.... It's just getting silly now.

So the Thargoids have attacked another station, this time in Irandan.

As well as doing a good deed these missions have always paid well both in terms of credits and materials, as it is a high risk mission. So time to collect Exquisite Focus Crystals and Modified Embedded Firmware.

Alas not.

FDEV have nerf'd both the credit payout by 50% and reduced the engineering materials to all grade 1 items, mechanical scrap and Atypical Wake Echos.

I really hate the fact that since wing missions came out it's near impossible to find Grade 5 stuff as solo mission rewards.

FDEV NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO PLAY IN GOD DAM WING!!!

I'm seeing a direct relationship between the SC distance and the material reward quality for non-Tourist passenger missions.

Anything grade 4 or 5 is an almost guaranteed 50kLs or more.

Don't the credit and material rewards depend on your faction status?

Of course, it seems silly to have to develop a steady working relationship with a bunch of people who are currently on fire, but that's just another of Elite's little eccentricities.

Under normal circumstances yes, rewards do reflect your status with said faction, but passenger rescue missions were different, given the nature they skipped straight to max reward.

This seems to have changed post 3.0 as FDEV doesn't seem to want players to be able to "stock up" on grade 5 materials. They are drip feeding you just enough to keep you playing that little bit longer.

Actually I do agree. I almost never do wing stuff. I'm a "solo" open player and do not want to deliver 5000 tons of stuff for 5 biotech ...

Everyone should meet outside the burning station and roast some marshmallows and wait until they give up the goods before we start pulling the crispy critters out.

Go to an imperial system, go out some 750Ls from the star in deep space and collect G5 mats. It doesn't matter what you collect. Go trade them for what you need. Sure, the 6-1 thing is steep, but you can grab 100 Imperial Shielding mats in no time, so that's 15 G5 mats of something else. You'll also get a few other G5 mats, they spawn quite often. I'm sure it will be nerfed though.

They introduced trading which distorts the value of grade 4-5 to such a degree, that one can simply cut to the chase and collect those; this apparently isn't working as intended. There are still some that drop in sufficient numbers you can use the hysterical trading system to solve 1-3, some of which are notoriously low drop rate.

"Hi, everything is on fire and we'd love to leave - but you don't apparently have enough reputation to rescue us from this hell hole. We shall all perish now because you don't have enough reputation; how very dare you."

Wing assassination missions dont take any longer than solo missions and give plenty of grade 5 mats.....if you have a ship that can handle it. I'm not sure your sidewinder will make it ;)

Has Frontier addressed the reputation issue with these Evac missions? They fixed it once. Are they going to fix it again? Are they even aware of the issue? Did they change their minds and decide that YES; refugees ARE picky about who evacuates them from a burning station after all?

My understanding is that they are still picky about their rescuers. Because of course people stuck in a burning building will absolutely vet the fire-fighters for whether they have sufficient reputation or not to allow them to commence a rescue. People on fire usually aren't picky about who evacuates their sorry backside from actual fires; unless it's Elite.

I guess they need time to warm up to you.

Oh, that's good to know. For some reason I was thinking those missions asked you to kill a 100 ships or some ridiculous number.

Thats wing massacre missions. For the wing assasination missions you have to kill 1 of the big three and his 5 small friends.
