Even the assassination/execution missions are bugged

I've never tried those missions, but they seemed to offer good rewards like MEF and BTs in the current environment.

I figured out pretty quick though that you just need to ram the ships into submission; they don't fight back unless you actually shoot them.

Tomorrow's patch will fix this, right?

Aren't you supposed to save the victim ships? That's what I've been doing.

"Kill the Informer" missions just have a boss ship flying next to system security ships (who don't interfere). "Take out pirate lord XXX" has the target attacking some victims, but you just need to take out the target.

NB: I've been doing these in an Anarchy system, so system security ships will probably act different elsewhere.

Ah mine were pirate lord ones, as you say they won't attack you, they attack some victim ships that spawn with them, you have to fire on them to be a distraction. Did a kill 20 military type mission yesterday, waiting for them to spawn in SC was an excercise in patience but taking on cutters & Corvettes was a lot of fun. Did that in a medium security, had to avoid hitting the cops. I made a mistake on the first kill, killed the cops & had to wait for my notoriety to expire before I could pay off the bounty & return.

I liked that the mission disabled notoriety increase for the mission kills.

Did a bunch of kill X pirates too, dull but high influence. I haven't shot at anything for 18 months, so I'm in 'bring it on' mode right now ;)

Not sure what is going on in your instances, but those Mission Target ships WILL fire on you eventually. They engage the NPC transports and escorts first, and when they have dispatched those, they will then turn to you.

The objective of your mission though is to prevent those ships from being destroyed by engaging with the Mission Target as soon as you have confirmed the scan. That way, those NPC ships you saved will then assist in the destruction of the Pirate Lord.

Just to add, by doing them in an Anarchy you might have found a flaw. With my military targets one I interdicted each one, then after a minute or so two police eagles showed up. I was interdicting & killing clean ships so the cops were red too & fired on me, but I was easily able to ignore them (as I realised on the second one).

tbh with hindsight I probably could have rammed my victims to death too, but that seems kind of a boring way to do it. IIRC you get a bounty for the eventual kill if you ram a ship to death, so I suppose it would have kept the two police flies from buzzing around my head.

By the time I'd finished my 20 I was killing them before the cops even arrived, so it was good practice for me. The new templates might be a little flawed but I enjoyed them.

Yeah I got the assist in one of them, but it was a T-6 & a pair of sidewinders so it made little difference. None of them died in any of the pirate lord missions, but kept bleating on about being critically damaged when they were all at 100% & I'd killed the big bad wolf already. I had hull repair limpets on me but with nothing further to do I just jumped away.

Here's a quick video from one I just did. I just rammed the target ship and got the mission reward. It never fired back.

Bug report it with the video... It's not faster than just shooting the target but it's a bit dumb that they don't react at all, the AI should be like "RAM ME AGAIN AND I'LL SHOOT YOU DEAD CMRD!!!" or if they are super aggressive they'll attack as soon as you or anyone get within 500m.
