[Event/Experiment] Call to supporters of independent systems/Alliance

UPDATE:

Hi all, we changed focus elsewhere because the influence bugs since 3 weeks ago.

If you want to help every help is welcome as we may achieve results faster, come this website: elitediplomats.com and read the first couple of posts and register in the forums.

-----

From now on, focus on helping building Alioth Independents influence in the area.
Do ALL the Alioth Independents missions in stations controlled by other factions.

Trying to INCREASE influence AND civil unrest
This is what you do when you are trying to support a minor faction not in control of the system, to destabilize the economy and politics of the system and promote a coup d'etat. Civil unrest will increase the chance of conflict in a system and influence will increase the share of power your faction has in that same system.

Missions you should be accepting...
- Every Export Mission (transport goods to other station) --> This increases the wealth and influence of your faction.
- Kill Authority missions --> This increases civil unrest, lockdown and influence of your faction.
- Kill Traders missions --> This increases civil unrest, lockdown and influence of your faction.
- Kill Bounty Hunters ...
- Deliver Intel --> This increases civil unrest and influence.
- Deliver trade data, propaganda, etc. -> Increases influence.
- "Sticks, stones and semi-automatics" mission (import weapons, not aid mission) -> Increases lockdown and influence.
- Import agri-medicines -> Reduces outbreak and increases influence.

Trading you should be doing...
- You should be exporting goods produced in your's faction stations. --> This increases the wealth and influence of your faction.
- You should be importing weapons and armour. --> This should increase civil unrest and bellicosity in general, probably also decreases enemy influence.

Killing you should be doing... (this is guaranteed hostile by the controlling faction but it's war, so don't expect anything else)
- Interdiction of enemy trading ships and killing travelling trading ships. Overall this seems to have more effect than killing ships at nav beacons.
- Killing system authority and defence forces of opposing factions. If you see a DEFENCE force ship interdict and kill, those are military forces.
- Go to extraction sites and kill enemies mining ships and authorities. --> Should decrease influence and wealth of enemy faction.
- DON'T turn over bounties. DON'T kill wanted ships. --> Doing it would decrease civil unrest and we DO NOT want this.

Priority: 1) Missions 2) Everything else.
Let's get to work!

Please refrain from cashing in any Alliance bounties in independent systems or Fed controlled ones regardless if the local system faction has allegiance to Alliance (e.g. Rominger Dock at 78 Ursae Majoris). Instead, use neighbouring Alliance systems for cashing in bounties which will increase your Alliance rep and reputation with all system faction(s) aligned with the Alliance.

--------------------------------------------

Following the revolution started in Lugh I suggest we open a second front against the megalomaniacs of the Federation near Alioth focusing on one or two systems at a time. The objective should be initially systems with low population, the reason is larger populated systems are probably harder to influence. Staging areas: LHS 331, Kuk, 78 Ursae Majoris (Romminger Dock).

Funny, I just posted a few minutes ago asking if it was possible to support the alliance (since all I ever hear about is the damn federation and empire).
Definitely count me in!
Although I can't start assisting until the 16th... my bucket of bolts of a rig is in the shop for repairs for the next few days. ;)

I was thinking Riedquat. There is nothing I want to see more than the original Elite system become alliance space.

Ok I checked factions and Sheela Na and there are no factions affiliated with Alliance right now sadly so we will have to see other. Checked Riedquat and has neither Alliance aligned faction, control is a bit high as well as population, but could be a good second objective. For the first one I would keep it at small system.

You need to state the system factions and their politics

Alright, but I don't think there are communist systems for the Federation.

The objective should be initially systems with low population, the reason is larger populated systems are probably harder to influence (this way we can check if the stalemate in Lugh is a bug or are the mechanics at play, and observe how things work at a regional level better).

Your reasoning here is sound. However FYI the game has updated faction rankings and Crimson is now above 38%. It seems the stalemate was due to patch day & hotfix interfering with whatever daily timer is used to update standings.

I'd be interested in assisting with this in a few days' time, if it's not too far to travel and once my stint in Lugh is over.

Good luck, Commander!

Olgrea is independent with a small Alliance presence (and Feds, spit) with an Alliance starport and a varied mix of station types, the problem is they are all off at Olgrea C, I'll go and have a quick look to see how far out the stations are from the jump in point. Pity we can't target a particular star, it would open up more systems. I'll check to see if it's a meh.

If there's a worthwhile target system in the area, I'm up for a bit of politicking, I mean freeing the oppressed masses from exploitation and that.

I'm based in Alcor, I'll certainly lend a hand to this cause! I'll head over to Sheela Na Gig and take a look. For the Alliance!

Sounds good, keep us updated, thatw as an other potential target...

No Alliance starport at Olgrea sadly, but an outpost, stations are only ~2500Ls out so not bad, and 2 Alliance factions in the system, Olgrea Central PLC (7%) Corporation and the Olgrea Nationalists (1%) who own Kratman Terminal. So 8% total.
It's not ideal, but possible I think. There may well be better targets in the area.
Kratman Terminal, the only Alliance port, has a selection of minerals for sale at reasonable prices.

Does not sound bad, the only bad party is that is independent and not Federation, but for a start not bad. I wodner though, can we 'kickstar' an Alliance expansion into a system where there is no Alliance faction? What would it take? (asking because Sheela has no alliance faction but is surrounded by alliance systems)

I was born and raised in the federation. My family worked and slaved for them, and died with nothing, not even a thank you.

My father fought for them in the wars, and when he left their military, He got a ship and scraped a living for us. He died a long way off, pirates attacked him, the federation did nothing for his family.

My mother worked and scraped for a living, working for a federation official. She died, poor and ill, her employer provided nothing.

All I have now are my father's Eagle from the war, and memories. What I could scrape up I put on a used sidewinder. I've worked hard and upgraded to a cobra. I'm gonna use the federation, earn my way out of federation space. I hate the federation for what they did to my parents.

When I leave, I'm gonna look at the alliance, see if I can do better there, but until then, I'm gonna take all I can from the federation, so I can set out on my own. If the alliance doesn't make a better showing than the federation, I'll go it alone.

I would join you, but I have mission of my own. Maybe once I finish that, then I'll join you.

Good luck with your revolution, I may see you out there someday.

EDIT: We are scanning for potential targets around the Alioth area. Preferably in the hands of the Federation and with low population (in the millions, not billions). Suggestions welcome, meanwhile head up this zone if you are interested in helping.

I hopelessly asked for some group that is supporter of the Alliance/Independent systems so I'll get this started (or ask anyone who want to join)...

I'm sitting right now in Kuk, an Alliance affiliated system, and in this area there are plenty of small independent systems and some others which are aligned with the Federation. I suggest as a first objective Sheela Na Gig (a tiny population extraction economy system, 110k population) and if things move then we can move to 78 Ursae Majoris,a big (>10 bill population) system controlled by the federation near Alioth. There are good sources for trading in the region as well as other typical actvities.

Basically: pick missions with Alliance or independent factions, destroy federation ships and trade with stations that are not controlled by federation aligned systems.

I'm based in LHS 2637 which is in the area you're talking about and I'm already friendly with the Alliance faction there. I'm quite happy to join in with something like this, I have no liking for the Federation. Keep me posted on your progress.

I wonder though, can we 'kickstart' an Alliance expansion into a system where there is no Alliance faction? What would it take? (asking because Sheela has no alliance faction but is surrounded by alliance systems)

No idea. There seem to be fewer propaganda missions around atm, maybe a non Alliance faction can be turned using those.
I'll keep poking around in the general area of Alioth.

Watching how the federation systems are rather scattered here I thought we could actually isolate 78 Ursuae Majoris and then 'assault' it.

Main objectives would be:
1) LP 131-66 : tiny feudal single station system - tourism. support union of lp 131-66 (19,4% influence, democracy). Who the hells wants to live in a feudal order anyway !?
2) HdS 1879 : small (6 mill) anarchy the feds are using as a backend to feed their illegal operations in the region. support 'new hds 1879 party' (affiliated with the Alliance) to impose some order in this pool of infection of criminals.
3) Tiethay: a small anarchy system rich with resources waiting for exploitation, against the shady federation has a present in this system. Support Silver Vision Ltd. to exploit the great richness of the system and increase growth and wealth in the whole region for better stability of independent/Alliance systems.
4) After all this 78 Ursae Majoris should be isolated (an other potential target is Mizar, but we should evaluate before this steep) of Federation interests and we can free it of Federation rule.

So what you say guys? Personally i'll start destabilizing LP 131-66 to see how it goes.

Fellow wannabe alliance player here, i'm keeping an eye on the thread. Sadly i won't be able to play much the first few days of release but i'll be reading and hope to help out soon.

Just stepped out of my ship at Harrison Enterprise station in KUK.
First have to start make some friends around here, then I will gladly help with starting peaceful revolution in the systems.
