As I understand any kind of visually comprehensive picture is out of the question. For multiple reasons.
Did not read the article yet, but I'm curious how they want to break through all that immense radiation in all spectrums that galactic core is filled with. Star density is crazy in that region. Is it even possible to "see" through it, by any means?

From some previous experience, I'd consume science articles on the Beeb with a huge grain of salt (such as is customarily found in Dangerous Discussion) and whenever possible with added primary literature.
