Morning! As you might've seen, we at The Unbound have been putting some time and effort into building an organized player-versus-player community (http://www.unbound.space), and we've had a great start! The first Backbreaker tournament launched last week (video is posted below), and we've got a growing group of fun and helpful pilots at our side. Among the things we're considering (and testing) are:
- "Training grounds," friendly and constructive events for everyone who wants to learn or hone their skills
- A variety of events ranging from the basic (1v1) to the complex (3v3v3 in an asteroid belt)
- Video recaps of official matches from different points of view with commentary
- Achievements and stats for individual players and teams
- Other tests and displays of skill and entertainment
- Accessibility to players of all timezones
Although PvP isn't everyone's thing, we're looking to make a set of tournament events and spectacles that're fun for the hardcore, accessible to anyone that gets interested, and enjoyable to watch even for those not into participating themselves - presentation is big to us.
What we'd love to hear from YOU is, where do we go from here?
- What would interest you in giving it a go?
- What would make competitions or tournaments more meaningful?
- What would make the coverage videos fun and easy to watch?
Elite: Dangerous has a great community and is a game with HUGE potential for this kind of thing! Please, throw in your input, join us, or just watch and enjoy
