I'm talking about the ones where nothing seems to work right.
The day couldn't have been more off if I planned it to be off.
First...
I wanted to check out some of the engineer stuff...so...I set coordinates for Khun where Elvira is Stationed.
Yeah...totally wrong coordinates, never used the bookmark I made LOL
Ended up 30 something light years from there.
Then, when I get there, I have no materials that will work there...needed to go to see Felicity instead.
Then...
I get jumped repeatedly as I jump to the next several systems. It was like the AI was trying to mess with me. And I wouldn't have been surprised if it was.
When I finally decide that enough is enough and stop running from the little blighter...the ship changes.
No no...seriously...the ship changed.
I was being hounded by a Diamondback Explorer, when I finally turned around to slap it back to last week, if became a Fer-De-Lance.
Almost didn't take it out...I was flying a Clipper...nicely outfitted, just not the strongest of weapons...still trying to track those down.
Then...after I collect a bounty at the local Starport (As I can not land on a platform station) I go to leave.
Just as I get out of the station and clear the doors, I get a communique from one of the NPC's stating..
"FOR THE FEDERATION!!! I WILL DESTROY YOU"
I'm thinking...really?!? This has to be a joke.
Nope. The little comes at me in a sidewinder. No kidding...a bare bones sidewinder. It would have been over in 5 seconds.
Yeah...would have. The NPC fires on me, giving me an excuse and I return fire....then so does every NPC in the area.
Good thing I can out-run them.
Note to self...
Do not fire on someone in their own back yard...it ends badly.
So...moving right along, I make the jump to the next waypoint.
It's an undiscovered sector (Meaning I haven't been there yet) So I throttle back get my scans and start off to be on my way.
I fuel scoop a little fuel (top off my tanks).
Set the coordinates for the next system.
position the ship to the next heading.
just as I'm about to jump out, I see a unknown signal.
It says zero threat so I figure...what the heck...can't hurt to check it out.
WRONG!!!
I drop out right into the middle of one of the biggest wrecks I've ever seen.
TOTALLY taking out my shields and knocking the hull down to 30%.
Yup...I hit hard.
So naturally, I switch on the field repair unit. I always keep it off until I need it. And I always remember to make sure it has materials. Even today.
So I get my ship repaired right there. Just sitting in silence as the shields power back up and the repairs finish up.
So at this point I'm thinking I'm pretty safe. Good move with the Field repair unit.
So now everything is up and running and back to 100%.
I scan the little node in the center first remembering how my day has been going thus far. Better to grab the info before getting attacked. I get the scan and nothing happens.
So I start to grab the loot floating around.
I figure if I grab one and enemies pop out of the woodwork like usual (They uncloak...wish I had that) I can just zip off to safety in my trusty space hot-rod.
Again...nothing happens.
The drone grabs the last of the loot and then all hell breaks loose!!
I get the drone aboard, and hit max power as I try to leave the scene.
I go to close the cargo hatch...and I drop all the loot AND my remaining drones!!?!?!?
!!!
So now I have to fight 4 ships to get my stuff back just after repairing.
It was a tough fight, I'll admit it. Managed to get through it with only minor damage (2% damage to hull).
So I start collecting my drones first.
I get them all aboard and then use half of them to collect all the goodies.
Just as I grab the last of the loot (The stuff I earned not dropped) a pirate squadron appears?!?
"What now!!??!"
They scan me and say...
"That's the ship we've been looking for. Good job we found you. Now hand over all the cargo.."
Umm...really?!?
What cargo. My inventory has NO goods. Just the mats and sensor readings...and I'm not dropping those.
So realizing this is going to be one of those situations...again...I aim right for them.
2 Anacondas no less.
This is when something amazing happened.
I know from experience that heading towards the ships to make them turn around buys some time. Since these are Anacondas, it'll be a little longer.
You ever see that movie Serenity?
It was something like that. I could even hear the dialog...
Captain: Look at him...not even changing course. haha
That's when the authorities showed up. Just as I'm nearing the 'Condas, one of them fires and misses me completely.
The next shot hits but very little damage. I even checked my instruments...light hit to the shields. So as I'm passing between them I scan them...
NOVICE!!!!???
HARMLESS!?!?!
?!?
By the time I spin around, which by the way is extremely short time in a clipper, the two 'Condas are nearly destroyed. So I quickly get my shots in and do my part for the bounty...I mean for a safer galaxy.
3 Mil...nice...in Federation territory...where they fired on me
wonderful.....
So...Hear I am making my way to Felicity with over 100 jumps to go....
Dare I ask what else can go wrong?
