Everything Red for a Second

I had just destroyed a wanted criminal in a Cobra, and suddenly my screen pulsed red for one cycle which took about 3 seconds. Is this part of something already implemented in the game? Perhaps part of a future patch that will bring a new feature?

It's called red out. The negative g forces push all your blood towards your brain and makes your vision red. Fighter pilots deal with this in real life.

Cool. I knew it was being implemented in Star Citizen but to have that in Elite: Dangerous is great.

One thing though, the animation isn't very realistic. I've witnessed the same effect in real life on a roller coaster in Six Flags that spins you in your seat while you are also moving forward. It progressively becomes more and more like tunnel vision. The outer parts of your vision turn gray and cloudy with *stars*, with a very tiny bit of some weird color distortion near the inner edge of the blurriness. It would be great if that was implemented.

That's a black-out, though, not a red-out, the former is caused by positive G-forces, the latter by negative G-forces. One pulls the blood out of your brain, the other pushes blood into it (and your eyes). Two very different phenomena.
