I can still play games without VR, but not Elite. Battleborn is a great game, and so is TheHunter and Fallout 4. Although I've stopped playing fallout 4 since they announced an upcoming VR patch![]()
Damn, that was the only excuse, not to play another time killer... Guess, i have to get Fallout 4 now.
I'd better not tell you that Doom also has a VR patch coming this year...oops :x
Now about fixing Res/text issuesSo I can enjoy EVEN more.
Come back to reality and understand that there is no 'fix' for this, it is what it is until new hardware is developed.
On the contrary. Resolution issues in the game is not caused by hardware. It's an engine problem. Aka. Half vr rendering pipeline in the game.
In ED?Come back to reality and understand that there is no 'fix' for this, it is what it is until new hardware is developed.
I was forced to switch back to playing on PC monitor yesterday for a short while. Boy was that a mistake.
Everything so small, far away and the feeling of space GONE.
I am not sure I could now play ED long term now without VR.
In ED?
The fact that we can fix the text issue with super-sampling establishes that there's the ability to repair in software.
And while the resolution cannot be changed, ED has a number of visual artifacts in VR that it lacks on-screen that are not caused by the lack of resolution (I can set my screen to the same resolution and not see the issues).
I think we've gone as far as we can with software. More pixel is the way forward
Yes as a primary aspect, but there is also lens quality, field of view and eye tracking, that will make a real difference in future HMD. Also adjustment of distance to the lens could improve quality.
