Honestly, I don't believe it to ever happen.
NO. The reasons are not because of no new movie confirmed, because it isn't necessary standard to use, it's just an advantage they decide whether it's good to exploit. It's not even because I believe, "JWE2 is all we need, I don't want it to happen because Y, X, and Z! Ah-ha-haaa!"
It's because, from my observations and studies of Frontier's style on how they approached and treated both JWE games and everything in them (in-game) and around them (behind the scenes), as well as what basic game industry development knowledge I do have and learned from an actual AAA industry developer, it's not something Frontier would realistically do. Especially not with a huge Hollywood owned IP.
Frontier has also already confirmed the FY25 game is an "own-IP CMG" in their latest Interim report, which they publish every January. While the FY26 game is still in scoping stages. Which means, even though it's something already set in motion, actual development hasn't started yet. A game based on another owner's IP needs to be greenlit first, and because of Frontier's style, any sort of hint in their RNS reports would've already been made by now, just like they did for JWE1 in February of 2017, or JWE2 in March, 2019.
On top of all of that, I've seen far too many "perfect dream wishes" for the wildest creative and most realistic, immersive animal zoo or park building sim game or sequel in the world, in my whole life. Including for both JWE games and Planet Zoo. A majority of the time, only a handful of those "perfect game wish ideas, no matter how basic, major, or minor they are" ever come true elsewhere, including here in JWE2. This is no different from Evolution Square because a lot of times, stuff like this from people on the internet ends up being too good to be true, no matter how great, sensible, or popular it sounds. Just take a look at JWE2's dreams and wishes between 2019 and 2021, and you'll see what I mean.
