Example of the Great Migration on system populations.

Before the Great Migration my system had: 131,600 occupants

After the Great Migration my system has: 16,800,000 occupants

An increase 127.7 times as high as he original population total.

Would like to see other totals and multipliers to see if the increase is by a specific multiplier or system dependent.

Thanks,

32400 -> 11.94 million. 368.52x

I have no idea where or how they stuffed all those people in the system; there are only 3 finished orbital outposts and one surface outpost, plus 9 installations and 2 Odyssey settlements. No Earth-likes or waterworlds, either--only iceballs barely above absolute zero. Makes the population density of Tokyo feel like Australian outback in comparison...

That last phrase is hilarious !

Also, looking at your multiplier of 368.52 leaves me perplexed and believing that simply multipliers will not reveal the underlying growth mechanic to any reasonable degree.

Yeah, I suspect there are several variables that affect this. I suspect Wealth, Security, Development, Tech, Standard of living all have a say in this. Plus the unexplained population increase stats.

Yeah, it's been way overdone. I have 13M now in a system with 1 orbital outpost and 1 surface outpost and a smattering of settlements. I'm thinking at present its the surface port that's sending things through the roof. Another system I have with no surface ports and a Coriolis and orbital outpost is like 400K.

Thank you for your insight on this issue, that is very illuminating.
