I was just SEMI trolling in another post of cry babys complaining about cost to run ships and i made a remark that got me thinking...


Escape pods.... you can be 1000's LY away.. opps got to close to a star... and POOF your back at wherever you was last station..


Whats with the JUNK FSD's in the ship...

I want a effient SUPER HYPER crazy LONGDISTANCE jump drive like a excape pod does.. whats the DEAL



BTW if you Die from a STAR or Black hole.. you should be forced to clear save.. JUST saying.. that would make this game alot more dangerous and realistic for me.. IMO

The first person that has to have clear save from exploring because of a mistake will be the last person exploring.

The so-called escape pod is actually a mechanism whereby a quantum entangled consciousness, duplicated prior to the launch of the commander in question is, um... something and something else and something else again. Or something like that.

Oh, better explanation: it is like the engine of an automobile. No one knows how it works, it just does. (Granted, that example may only apply to me.)

Escape pod is SMALL. A Sidewinder is size of a small house.

That in mind, say an escape pod is smaller that your cockpit... compare to a small house... eject the toilet... much smaller - flies waaaaaay further away.
