What kind of a mysterious computer covid outbreak could have happened so that so many people started to experience file system errors at the same time, and by some inexplicable coincidence, right after they had all installed Update 13 to Elite Dangus ? ;-)
So far yours is the only post on this particular issue I have seen, you will have to point me to the swarms of players who are having the identical issue, because I don't see them!

So do a number of ppl I know.
I suspect it might have something to do with the Salvation video, because iirc it started after I had been fiddling with that file (renamed that webm to disable it), but I'm not absolutely sure about that. It wasn't present before update 13 that's for sure though.
Yes that's what's doing it! It's already been noted elsewhere that removing or renaming that file will create an error in ED, you didn't mention you had been fiddling with the game files! The Covid outbreak in this case is people mucking about with game files because they are to impatient to press esc when the video starts!
The mocking was only because the lack of a totally not vital file should never ever result in an unhandled exception in any kind of software. That's still a bug.
Does anyone have a clue what this weird error means? I'd just selected quit to desktop on exiting the game.
