EDLaunch throws an exception when trying to update the game
as a result I have no access to the game

First off, no need to show your e-mail address to everyone, just remove the picture from the post. Secondly, probably a good idea to open a ticket with customer support, even though the blank page might be some indication you're having some network issues (try a wired connection for optimal performance).

Mine does this from time to time. I usually leave it until it looks like it has mostly completed the update, then OK one of sometimes many pop up windows at which point the launcher crashes. Then restart the launcher and do the update again, this time it should complete OK. I also run EDMC and try to remember to close it before hand as there is some correlation in term so f this happening and ED helper apps running in my experience.

Elite Launcher is way passed the point where it would be nice to have it upgraded or fixed... now it urgently needs a complete overhaul...
