Excited about Elite? Maybe not...

Which makes you wonder about such people's lives, if they get so upset about a game. Remids me of the kids at school who would take their ball home if people didn't want to play the way they wanted.

Which all together is pretty sad. Maybe you should find a different community to be part of? I wouldn't want to associate myself with such people.

All over a game.

Very sad.

Edit, would rep you but I can't right now since too many of your posts contain common sense.

...lot of people ED seems to enact strong emotions.

That was my point, for some reason I don't fully understand this is a game that has managed to get angry a lot of people. And this is very bad for a game with just 6 months and an economic model that depends on attracting new players. And there are games on the line coming soon with similar targets.

I couldn't care less about your opinion. Your comment is good example of why one of the most common complaints is that the community and forums are toxic. Each time you and your kind think that your wonderfull game has been attacked your first reaction is to attack the other user. Luckily I just don't care about this game (or the community) anymore.

Judging by numbers, I don't see these angry people having any serious effect on popularity of ED. Doesn't mean it's not interesting to evaluate why they are angry, etc. - exactly the opposite, FD needs to go trough those complains and understand at least how to market their game better.

As for competition coming out soon (there's only one though close enough NMS) - yes, but I don't think FD isn't aware or they don't plan to follow their update plan. What I see in NMS, is not really something that could take away lot of players of ED - unless FD start to seriously slack (and no, they don't do that now). For all what I have seen very very different games, especially at depth end.

yeah this game is an excellent game.
i mean it defiantly needs more ships and more stations. and more events
but once ship interiors come and station interiors and planetary landings it will defiantly add much more gameplay then it already has.

but then again its just my opinion.

oh and the xbox one sells of this game will defiantly help this game with the funds.
its just too bad that they didnt also sell it on the ps4. i mean i hope Microsoft is seriously investing in this game to merit FD this kind of business decision. but then again after the ps4 E3; im sure that they might have more incentive to invest in this game.
just speculation...

Ship customization is a sticking point for me as well. There's free to plays out there that at least give me a limited color palette to give me some agency in diversifying myself, even if all I get are the primary colors.

Messa tinks dat too many humans say negative tings because yousa really care much about dis game! Messa understandings dat Elite Dangerous is moving forward and continually being updated and improved. Messa understandings dat the Steam majority of humans are young, naive and impatient. Wessa are very lucky we have dis game!

We do enough flying in elite.. a stop at a port should give us a break and a change of pace for a couple minutes .. not a fast track back to the same ol same ol
This is something I would welcome. The ability to walk inside a station and find a lounge/bar with a TV that could be "clicked on" to watch the Galnet news-feed in full screen mode. Or see another Cmdr in the bar and "click on" them to begin a "one on One" chat/speak. While the in-ship messages could still be in place, the ability to interact in another way may contribute to further immersion.

Larry the Cable Guy talked about the Dixie Chicks being so surprised that their fans (Country/Pop) were appalled when they (The Dixie Chicks) openly stated they were ashamed of the President of the United States.

His (paraphrased) reply: "What did you expect? That's like walking into a trailer park and shouting "Walmart sucks!!!"

I have suggested a (possible) way to add some immersion to the game. If I would have simply stated "This game sucks coz its boring" rather than offer an idea to add to the game,,,,, Well then,,,,, their you go.

Frontier just needs to outsource more 'non-general' content to Rockstar, so they can fill up the empty spots.

Just remember TV in Trevor's trailer house in GTA 5 ... or Radio :D

theres a reasaon people dont like it after 500 hours, they are grinding to achieve some kind of goal, its not the destination its the journey, but people arent playing the game like that but its still not their fault, they do need more to do, the thargoid mystery is perfect, more mystery will keep people hoping...
