Exciting new features in JWE3, but are visitors still shallow?

I just saw the announcement for JWE3, and I’m excited about the new features, like the introduction of baby dinosaurs and the ability for terrestrial dinosaurs to swim. That’s amazing because I’ve always wanted the mechanic of creating aquatic habitats for dinosaurs.

On the other hand, what disappointed me the most in JWE1 and JWE2 was the lack of depth in how visitors interact with the park. While JWE3 promises greater flexibility in park design, for me, it loses some appeal when visitor interactions aren’t engaging to watch.

When observing them, it feels like there isn’t an individual AI for each visitor but rather a single logic controlling all of them. This makes it feel like I’m watching an ant colony where everyone acts in a uniform way, lacking the randomness and chaos that would bring the immersion of something more realistic.

I hope that, in this new version, the visitor AI receives more attention to make the experience even more captivating.

Can't say I disagree, but we really haven't seen much of the guests to know what to expect. I did see a few telltale signs that wasn't encouraging. They are still walking around in groups and the way they run around and point at stuff looks like JWE2. I certainly didn't expect individualized guests, but I am pinning my hopes that there are more systems pertinent to guests rather than more menu screens strictly.

It would help simply if they had better dinosaur interactions and you could tailor your park more easily to the types of guests you brought in. I think some sort of balance of at least 2 guest type is a good thing leaving single guest type appeals for challenge mode or specific scenarios for challenge kind of like how they had you feed live dinosaurs to your carnivores in that one challenge mode. More attraction interactivity and more amenity needs and utility structures might make them feel more alive.

Frontier did let them have umbrellas in JWE2, so it felt a tad more realistic and we have seen they actually do sit on benches and at tables now. I mean, I bet there is a toggle to spawn them, but we can hope they can dynamically stop and sit at a bench or something. The dinosaurs feel pretty immersive all considered, its the robotic guests and their seemingly irrelevant interests and deaths we need to improve upon.
