Exclusive faction technology and weapons

So my biggest gripe is weapons and exclusive tech between the 3 factions. So i think it would be cool if we rank up in factions we get access to military hardware and weaponry, hell maybe even exclusive drone technology for ships.

So instead of just access to ships, we get more benefits then just permits and ships
 
In FE2 there were progressions to military technologies that (I'm pretty sure) you needed (Naval or Military) rank to gain access to. Does seem a natural way to make factions more distinctive from each other. All for it +1.

Thanks, i just think more weapons and variety should be explored. Same with missile, i would like to see more unique designs as much id like to see radical
 
They will add spying missions in future so I am guessing they will add features (or at least some of them) we have seen in FE2 regarding all that.

This is absolutely needed. There have to be nonmonetary awards for the different professions. For combat oriented professions it should be improvement in ship systems related to combat. This could be 'tuning' of ship modules as a reward for certain missions, gaining status, etc. So a 2% improvement in power consumption for a weapons module as a reward for ranking up, etc. Traders should get money for their reward, explorers get systems named as a reward, miners still need some love, and combat types also need rewards that are in line with their play style.

ha thats awesome, how did you come pasted this? I'm just saying more weapons= more unique load outs an what not. Maybe something wild like a fusion blaster or a ion beam? =/ i dont know we just need a larger selection
 
i like the idea.

and would like to add something. since there are capital ships why not implement the possibilty to join a factions navy? i.e. to fly missions for them in their own fighters/ships which you cant get on the market. i thought on a contract may be. u have to stay for 25 missions and you get rep and some money as reward. but you will only be able to fly in the system where the capital ship is. your fighter doesn't have the ability to jump .... just some basic ideas :)

with the missions you "proof" your loyalty and get reputaion. and this rep will allow you to get your hands on military tech of this faction you are fighting for. if you quit your missions befor your finished you will be a wanted(?) and be hunted not by the police but by the navy.
on the other side if you are on a mission and may be players are involved in the situation the capital ship jumps in you cant be identified by other players as a player but only as a "navy pilot". i think this idea is kinda like funny and you wont be chosed as primary target.

i like this too as well. But id like to see something more so then just a modifed verison of lasers or multi-cannons. Maybe some other technology, maybe experimental Armour or experimental internals
 
Can i get a gun for Empire that shoots with slaves who try to enter your ship and kill you? :)

and thats the thing, the describe it as a cold war bewtween empires. So the way i see it is nato to Warsaw pact constantly fighting for military superiority. Certain some larger variety in weapons is way way needed
