Exhibit Albinos

Hi,
do you know how I can get albino snakes? Can I buy them, or do I have to breed them with two non-albino animals? I have looked for them since two weeks, but I'v never seen any albino snake to buy...

I have not seen albino exhibit animals in the game, nor have I seen any albino habitat species for sale in the trade center in a challenge game. Since exhibit animals can't be bought and sold among players in the franchise game, maybe the game developers didn't include those variants in their gene pool the same way they haven't included those kinds of genetic variations in the challenge zoo animals?

so they aren't possible in franchise mode, or does anyone have albino exhibit animals in franchise mode?

They're possible, just exceedingly unlikely. You have to get that one-in-a-million chance to get lucky.

I've been playing this game since the beta and I've seen an albino exhibit animal for sale exactly once (an iguana). You can also get an albino by breeding, just breed a million exhibit animals and one will be albino eventually.

According to this post, there are albino exhibit animals possible in the game.

I personally have never seen one for sale in the exhibit animal trade lists, and the person making this post says they "haven't been found yet," so I don't know how they knows they are available. If they really are, they must be incredibly rare. Maybe they get snapped up so fast the odds of seeing and purchasing one are very low. And since one can't sell the exhibit animals one has bred to other players the way we can the larger animals in the game, there wouldn't be the same concentration of the genetic variant in the population once it shows up. I assume the white lions and so on were rare when the game first launched, but once everyone started breeding them and selling offspring that at least carried the albino/white/dilute alleles to other players, they became really common.

Mind you, I haven't seen an albino Tapir or Orangutan for sale in the game either, so some of the white variants must be much rarer for habitat enclosure animals too, or maybe players are simply less interested in breeding them when they do show up.

I had the luck to breed three albino snakes today, but I can not move them from one zoo to another like the habitat animals (i'm playing franchise mode).
is there an opportunity to move my snakes to another franchise zoos?

Unless I'm missing something (which is always possible), at this time there doesn't seem to be a way to move exhibit animals between zoos, even in franchise mode, nor is there a way to sell them to other players. I'm not sure why, except maybe they fear the issues with animal market lag would be worsened if people could trade and transfer these animals, which breed much more quickly than the larger animals.

Don't think this is it, pretty sure the exhibit market is offline (I do know it is completely separate from the habitat animal market though). It could be that exhibit animals are just not that hard to obtain, so they decided it was unnecessary to transfer them. Selling exhibit animals is also a quick way to make some money, so maybe the devs wanted to prevent people transferring over a bunch of them to a new zoo, selling them, and starting with extra funds at the beginning of the zoo? Blocking this exchange of funds helps keep the challenge for franchise zoos, at least at the very beginning. All wild speculation on my part though

I have gotten two in franchise. one in one zoo, one in another. a diamondback rattlesnake and an eastern brown snake one from breeding and another from the market. I wish I could transfer them from zoo to zoo

I bought an albino brown snake once. And accidently bred one green iguana albino. Currently I have 2 albino yellow anacondas, but i am having trouble getting offspring of good status, but they are all at least albinos. (all of this is in franchise btw)
