Exit to main menu option on PC

So with the patch going live I already dislike this change.

Please can we have the exit to menu and exit game back in the list and not under an extra option please :) Don't see what was wrong with it and why its been changed as its not like you've run out of room on the game menu screen.

Oh... I guess it is prettier but I was also not worried about the old mechanic.

My primary concern would be if this prevents the work around for the game freezing on entering the system screen* from working - that would be super annoying.
Though, you know, not having the game freeze on entering the system screen would be even better...

* This had been happening for me very occasionally pre-September patch. Post September patch it seems to have become more prevalent, not every session but often enough that I now hold my breath every time I open the system view... Maybe just my machine??
 
If they'd just change the display so you can see 'ARX earned this session' on the pause screen it would be less of an issue (for me). Now we're a few weeks in the absolute number is of no interest to me (until I eventually hit the shop :) ).
 
Basically I agree that application development should move toward reducing amount of clicks. Just cause it improves user experience in common cases.
I don't like navigating menu with mouse, just it's not fast enough. Keyboard is faster. So from keyboard point of view - nothing is changed, the action (quit to main menu) still requires same amount of key presses (was: up, up, space; now: up, space, space). :unsure: So I don't care about the change.

I don't particularly care either, but it's hard to see the benefit (apart from hitting the Buy Arx Exit Goption by mistake due to muscle memory).

Well, apart from the extra keypress. Apart from that you are correct. (I use kbd too, which I guess is why I haven't hit the missions bug 🤷‍♀️ )

(Previously to exit - ESC - up - Enter now Esc Up Enter Right Enter. 5 > 3, other math is available I guess)

I would not be surprised if the layout is based on gathered statistic data, users more often exit to main menu (not afk in open or reset instance) than to desktop.🙃

As was mentioned, this caught me off guard at first and made me click on the Arx button. Seems like a really weird change to make, especially in what is meant to be a bugfix update, you'd think if it was going to happen it would have happened with the September Update. So I'm assuming this idea was first brought up very recently, and while I don't want to believe they'd think that making people accidentally click on BUY ARX would actually make people do it, I also can't see a reason they'd split the menu up like this. Again, as was mentioned, they're not short on room.
