Exobiology Merits

Hi everyone,
is it normal that the merits from exobiology haven't been reactivated yet, even after more than a month since the new powerplay update?
Have they forgotten about them?
I love this game but it's unbelievable that there's always something missing or broken after months and months of playing. The galaxy map is still bugged and doesn't keep the filters I set for stars. These issues, especially with the powerplay update, make life difficult for explorers like me. Is there a timeline for fixing these problems?
Or do we just have to hope for the best?

They're on, you just can't see them on hand in.

Mind you, just because they're on, don't think they're worth it.

Handed in 8.8 billion credits worth and got 15k merits (1st footfall bonus may not factor for merits), not exactly spectacular if merits are what you desire. For comparison 2.2 billion credits of cartography earned 319200 merits (credit figure is only a rough guide of course, only certain things count).

Exactly what Mussurana said, with one correction: for PP merits, it's broken down per system, and there's a value threshold below which you don't get any.
A good rule of the thumb is that in order to get merits from a system, you'll have to map with the DSS at least one undiscovered(!) valuable planet in the system - meaning HMCPTC, RBTC, AW, WW, ELW.

Thanks for the clarification, I wasn't sure exactly what counted.

As it turns out I was mapping the correct bodies, which is good to know.

Where should UC and exobio be turned in (system types) to get the merits? such as they are.

by the way, I am not sure what PTC and TC mean (I assume terraformable)

Terraforming Candidates, yes. Where to sell your data and samples: any systems of your power, except the capital. You get no merits if you turn them in there. (It has no score, can't be reinforced.)

Ah, since your signature says you're pledged to LYR, and they should get more score out of exploration data, then yes, best to go to the systems that need it the most.
