Newcomer / Intro Exobiology - scanning 'doubles'

If you scan a certain species of plant on one planet, the Artemis tool won't let you re-scan that species on the same planet.
However, it WILL allow you to scan that same plant on a different planet - is it worth doing so.....?

I think Fdev, even if they didn't go the route of procedurally generated life, COULD have gone with procedurally generated names.
This system is kind of lame and confusingat the same time. They might as well have saved themselves the trouble and just use numbers.
