Expansion Data Retrieval - no timers and failing

Complete a retrieval quest. Let it rot in your quest section without turning in.
It will fail but no timer for WHEN it fails is ever displayed on the main page - leading you to assume it's safe not to turn it in until you want to.

lol. and there are peeps in EDO demanding that EDO missions work the same way and not have a timeout displayed :)

I think it's 7 days for those missions. But ofc you can work it out yourself now you know they expire :D

Honestly the fact ANYTHING expires at all is ing ridiculous.
What is this a video game or a goddamn job?

Maybe IF it didn't take 3 minutes to land a ship, 20 seconds to jump from system to system, up to 6 hours of letting your system idle to actually get to a location to turn in (worse case scenario, but it accentuates the ridiculousness that is this game).
This isn't a game where you actually play, it's a game where you ing wait, watching paint dry is just about as fun...

.... up to 6 hours of letting your system idle to actually get to a location to turn in (worse case scenario, but it accentuates the ridiculousness that is this game).
.......

Hyperbole has its place, that, however, is just nonsense. If you are spending lots of time on a particular task / mission / journey - you have made a dumb choice / a mistake / are too stubborn to abandon a mission.

Quite frankly if you really feel the way you have expressed in your last sentence then maybe...

this is not the game.gif

;)

I managed to endure this e for 2 weeks or so. Definitely not going forward with it other than an occasional play.

In case anyone (read as frontier) is ever wondering why they have the worse game reviews, and the worse drop in user history after allowing people in for free out of the epic promotion in hopes of selling the latest UN-polished turd they decided to release before it was ready.
LOOK NO FURTHER.

This game is essentially the holy grail of what NOT to do as a game developer/game maker.
Seriously, if you deliberately went out of your way to try and do worse you'd never be able to regardless.

And I am indeed surprised that there's so many "fan" boyz up here on the forums. Guess your guy's time is not yet valuable enough to you.
It's either that, or y'all suffer from some major forms of bruxism so you are inherently OK with all the stupid mechanics of the game....

As I tried to indicate - maybe you should consider if it is in fact you that is doing things wrong. I have never EVER spent 6 hours to get somewhere. I have several times made the Hutton run - that is the longest trip you can make for a mission and it takes about 90 minutes. You don't do long trips if you don't want to. Whining about "... letting your system idle to actually get to a location ... " is actually indicating that you don't know what you are doing.

There are lots of things wrong with the game (which we "fans" do complain about) but this complaining about time to travel is not the game's fault but the player's.

If your time is actually valuable to you then perhaps you should examine what you have done wrong to have been subjecting yourself to such sessions.

maybe you are too much of a care bear to get it.
This game is s h i t, in all caps. Any game where traveling from A to B takes longer than 10 seconds WITHOUT requiring player input - yet the wait cannot be skipped - can summarily be classified the same.

The difference is, other games usually have some sort of nature to look at. an interesting design, or require some actual piloting skills to accomplish a task.
This game instead is ALL based on literally just letting your system IDLE for however long is needed to reach a destination.
To boot, they add things like traveling 50k light years or however tf much away from the start point - for instance - in which, even at 20 or 30 jumps you are literally just IDLING for god knows how long with maybe 10% of the time being spent fuel scooping or doing something that actually may be (by a r e t a r d e d child that is) classified as "gameplay".

To boot, whatever team of... hey, I really have no better word to use here... edjits behind the marketing decides to push for MORE of the same after being told by pretty much the whole player base that it's ridiculous.

As I said. I'm not subjecting myself to this s h i t anymore. period. discussion done. If you want to try and yet again say it's my fault because you are a masochistic ar se hat, go right ahead. I got better stuff to do.
