Borderlands Venture log, entry 3, July 25th 3302
Well. Here it is. Our first tenth of a percent. It's not much of a progress, but it's another digit, I guess that's something. Actually, it's not quite accurate. It's based on an estimate of the total number of systems, which is estimated (and constantly recalculated) from an average population per subsector, which in turn is based on the subsectors we logged in... And we have far too few subsectors logged as of now to pull a viable estimate. Our progress tracker might be a tad late. But is it that important? It's going smoothly, venturers are arriving one by one, space madness... well, I only know of bubble madness. Everything is clear, here, right? No disturbance, no human noise or fuss, not even a supermassive or a pulsar in the neighbourhood. Dear Gal, does it sound like we've embarked to an ascetic pilgrimage?
In some regards, it is, actally. Cleaning ourselves from the superfluous, committing our minds and bodies to pure science, flying further and longer for the sake of research. The unnecessary simply vanishes. There is nothing but a few souls scrapping the skies for answers to millenia-old questions. I can't really speak for the others, I have not yet been in contact since I gave instructions and departed myself; and I suppose none of them has been in contact with others either. Venturing as a loose fleet like this one, tends to foster solitary endeavours. I know I haven't felt the need for human contact so far. Surrounded by an unfathomable volume of pure void, I think I've never gotten deeper into myself.

Little update on the findings, 4 ELWs have been reported, two are already known (too bad!), and the other two are named Chelios and Kathodigontas. We shall visit these worlds someday and maybe shelter a colony of enlightened people there.
We'd have to get ahold of the database of all the current records, as we have started to find some curious things. A few Gas Giants over 30G, an icy body with over 2,000,000 Atm pressure, a Gas Giant over 3,600 Earth Masses, and some change.
Unsurprisingly, the star variety is pretty thin, only regular star types around, with the exception of two Os, and a recently found Neutron Star. Also, only one Tauri Type star...
Even more surprising is the complete absence - so far - of Rocky Worlds. Not one has been found yet. And we have a lot, a lot of High Metal Content planets (among them, 119 terraformable candidates so far).
We are also monitoring terraforming conditions to determine what is needed and what are the extreme values that allow a world to be terraformable. More on this to come, but for that there already are about 150 worlds logged in.
Right on, Commanders! It's only the beginning!
