Expired Gas’s Pass Causing Problem

I originally started playing ED on Game Pass. Liked it enough to buy a copy.

I let the game pass subscription expire a few months ago. Now when I start the game, I get a screen to renew the subscription if I select either OPEN or GROUP. When I select either, ED goes back got the main screen. I can select SOLO.

if I delete then reinstall, will my saved data still be available?

IIRC ED was removed from Game Pass. Sadly, beyond that, I can be of no help here...

If I remember rightly you still need a "Gold" or gamepass account to play online games so unless you have one of those you'll be stuck in Solo, even if you reinstall the game. (It's a Microsoft limitation, not to do with FD)

That said, yes, all your info is stored server side so a reinstall will not clear that. You'll be exactly where you were before , with all the stuff you had.

ED requires an XBox Live Gold subscription to be able to play multiplayer (Private Group or Open)
Without a subscription all you can play is Solo

No need to reinstall - if you are happy to play solo, just play it.
If you want to play multiplayer games (Not only Elite) you need a Live Gold subscription (or other subscription that includes Live Gold, like Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate)

Solo is fine. Spent the last year around Colonia. Never saw a single human commander.
