How a Python can start charging his fsd, and jump away, all the while firing its laser turrets at me? I mean, I dont use turrets, but them firing is supposed to prevent fsd, amiright?

Yes hard points deployed should prevent frame shift.

Could it have been someone else shooting you?

NPC's can and do cheat, they arent bound by the same rules as we are.

I love how they can charge their FSD and jump within seconds...with me close enough to ram their afterburners. If I try to jump with a ship anywhere near me, I get the "inhibited" message and have to wait for a looooong, slooooow charge of my FSD before I can jump.
