Exploit/bug fix?

'Mode Switching', is it an exploit is it a bug? when will it be fixed or is it 'working as intended'?

(I'm asking because I know people who use it and personally I don't want to use it if its an exploit or bug)

FDevs official stance on this is that it is not an exploit or a bug. It is working as intended, although using it to cause different / new missions etc is against the spirit of the game.

In general, I'm against using this sort "exploit". But I will mode switch if there's simply nothing any good on the board.

Using it to rack up millions and millions of credits or rank (not so) quickly? Nah, I'll just go play the game, rather than the menu simulator.

It's only against the spirit of the game if people who don't like it say so.

It isn't against the RULES of the game. And, like player killing/ganking, which is also in the RULES of the game (I don't like it, but that's what some people keep telling us), you are free to mode switch as much as you like, there are no repercussions whatsoever.
