This may be a good time for me to finally share some exploration moments with you all. So here are images from my two main exploration trips, as well as whatever else I found in the archives.

Anyone remember when we got stuck well outside the galaxy? The background sim truly gone nutty! And the bottom of my cobra visiting a ringed water world on the first exploration trip. To the Coalsack I think.

Finally got done mucking about in populated space and decided to do a bit of sightseeing before heading for unknown bits. The Powerplay beta got in the way for a short time, before I could concentrate on the gong. At least I got to try a Diamondback...

I think this is the Running Man nebula, near Barnards Loop.

Lots of good photo ops near the Horsehead Nebula. Metal-rich worlds are great, especially in pairs. But there's something about icy worlds...

Those are from the NGC7822 nebula, which seems to suffer from an infestation of O-types and black holes. And other interesting things.

This one's for Cody. It looked like a simple water world at first - no clouds, no ice, nothing. But then, a few islands peeped out, from where a distant howl could almost be heard...

That's it for now. I'm moving on towards the Bubble nebula. Might turn towards the core at some point. Or head home. Who knows! The route planner makes me feel like I'm following a ball of twine, dancing across the Milky Way.

Yep. NGC 7822 is one of my favourites. I found this weirdo somewhere near the centre.

Had a good day working my way through a field of brown dwarf stars. Found a few little gems (good for refueling, thankfully) in the process:
