Exploration: 2-line Spooky Stories from the Black

Possibly this is a sign of oncoming space madness, but i started writing some 2-liners whilst far out in the black. Thought i would share the horror ;)

***

There is that glitch on the scanner again.
Sometimes it looks just like a heat signature.

-------

I catch my copilot's eye in the canopy reflection.
Has she always been there?

-------

A strange fear grips me as I enter witchspace.
Is that the sound of a child crying?

-------

I awoke to the sound of the canopy breaking once again.
Thing is, I was sure I had returned home years ago.

-------

I watch as the last of the fuel is drained.
In the distance, a yellow star sparkles in silence.

-------

I made the decision, and jettisoned the slaves.
At night I still hear the children screaming.

-------

I gazed down at the billowing clouds of a pristine ammonia world.
That was the moment that I felt the breath on the back of my neck.

-------

I hide in my seat, but I know they will find me.
They have escaped, and they are hungry.

Feel free to add more, if you are so inclined!

Sharing the madness ...

Those white orbs in witchspace,
they follow me everywhere.

I see another explorer 2,000 light years away,
too close ! I'm gonna make a run for it.

An Anaconda interdicts my shieldless ASP in the Pleiades,
the pirate has lonliness syndrome and starts chattering on local disjointed sentences.
Then leaves without firing, and I'm left puzzled drifting in the darkness.

Sry it's a three liner. That happened for real, it was a crazed NPC pirating in the Pleiades with an Anaconda!!!! Last week!!!!!

It's not the black holes that scare me, it's the dust clouds.
Sometimes, I swear I hear scratching.

@komemimute - thank you for the compliment, nothing is copied :)

Just one more scan... Damn, another metal-rich...
Oh ok, just one more scan...

EDIT: Oh sorry, I appear to have missed the theme. I'll do better later. :D

:) Wasn't inferring- I'm sorry if it seemed like. You truly are good at that! *thumbsup*

I hear the scanner's ping,
then I hear the canopy cracking.

Excerpt of 1.3 changelog:
- Added mis-jumps.

I don't see any star nearby.
Why is my ship's heat climbing?

Personally I think Haiku would be better ;)

A strange troubling noise
Scooping in the glowing sky
A crying baby
