Exploration Annie tweak suggestions?

ok, So what would you suggest?

I'll have a [lay about on Coriolis.

Mass manager gives me an extra 0.3ly and a 4d shield gets it above 0 and a 5A distrib takes it up to 74.75 unladen.

Anything else, you can think of?

Why Deep Charge?
Got better range than with mass manager as I remember
Not at that FSD size it doesn't.

Also, the mod you have on your shield gen brings it's max hull mass below the ship's and you can get a significantly lighter distributor and still boost.
Mass manager gives a better range increase for class 5 and higher FSDs, so it is the best choice for the Anaconda.

Unless you are planning to stay out in the black for a VERY long time you probably don't need your repair limpets. I was out for nearly 6 months last time and didn't use them (which means you could drop the cargo rack as well). You also only need one heatsink launcher as you can synthesise new heatsinks if you run out.

Not that all the above will make a big difference.
 
I really don't like how your powerplant is running so hot.. at .50 efficiency.
I tweaked the powerplant.. dropped a level and went back to the armored/monstered...
Dropped thrusters a level but went dirty on them... got more speed, boost, and probably they'll run as cool with the powerplant efficiency as it is now.
This added one year to the range... there is some room to play with the power still if you felt like you needed the 2nd heatsink instead of just crafting them.

I guess if I was planning to land alot, I would think about even better thrusters...

So idk... I just played with it a bit... Cheers... and all the best on your flights..
 
I've just gone back and had a look at both builds (I changed mine). In both, the AFMU is unuseable, cos there's not enough power to run it. I tested it for real.

This is what I've come up with. new one

Heat is fine, cos most of the systems are turned off. Whaddya reckon?
 
Looks good... nicest so far.

My sense of the AFMU is that if you ever had to use it, you would just shut down a bunch of other things to allow it to power up... no problem.

And one thing I like most about good heat efficiency is being able to safely and comfortably fuel scoop that much faster... which can really impact the time factor on long voyages.

Sure, if you lose the 32T fuel tank. Personally, I've found that any ship that can do two full jumps is enough for me, and an Anaconda with 16T fuel will just about reach that. In that case, here you go. Not something I would actually fly, but it does have all the bells and whistles, even a mining laser - and still jumps 80 ly on a full tank.

Of course, with such undersized distributors, you'll only boost once in a blue moon.
