The Objective
Be the first to confirm the complete absence of Thargoids at the destination by scanning the primary star. Or better yet, go down in history as the first explorer to find Thargoids in Elite Dangerous. That works too...
The Reward
You get to choose the next destination! Also you will be listed as the Discoverer of this particular destination in this thread.
Rules
Just exercise common sense please!
When picking a destination:
* Destinations need to be at least 500Ly from Sol.
* You can't Discover your own Objective. You have to skip this turn.
* Don't drop it right in front of one of your friends if they're taking part. Ideally turn off ship icons or go into Solo when picking out the destination.
* Don't pick an objective you have already scanned.
In the event a ship can get close but can't reach the actual system we'll allow you to claim the nearest system to the objective. We'll just move what is considered "The Destination".
Also let's refrain from picking really far out systems until we have some momentum. How about we keep it within 30,000LY from Sol for the first 5 turns? We can then look at extending it.
Claiming a Discovery
1) Claim the destination by replying with the system map of the target system and a picture of the galaxy map showing your ship location at the destination. If you like show us nice pictures of what you discovered there.
2) Tell us the new destination. Remember: below 30,000Ly from Sol for now and within easy reach.
