Exploration Credit guide

I'm coming back from an extended break and trying my hand at exploration for the first time since the FSS changes some years back. Has exploration received a credit buff recently and if so is there a rough guide to credit gaim per planet type? Just trying to figure out what I need to scan Vs what needs to be fully surface scanned etc.

that site more to the bottom:

think thats nearly accurate

That's great thanks! I'm seeing a lot of planets with geological sites .. are they worth more and do I really
need to DSS/map them? Thanks again

DSS is good to find planetary/ring stuff, but not necc. Scan will pay most for : terraformable anything; earth-like; water worlds - bigtime! We only get personal/game stuff from rings and the various sites discovered.
Exploration is definitely an earner, and it's possible to optimise cr/hr - but it's also an experience :)

Thanks for this! I'm assuming it will tell me somewhere if the planet is terraformable? o7

yeah, if you wait long enough in FSS it shows somewhere.

i always after FSS check the system map and the body descriptiopns for "terraformable".

After the (default) system scan, use the FSS or nav beacon (always in unexplored systems) to 'scan' the system. That reveals all the info you need (sites, terraformable etc) - which will be shown in the System map. Up to you whether you use the DSS after that (extra creds, as above).
