Engineers Exploration data gone?

I have seen a few reports of peeps losing their exploration data after the update.
Im heavily in the deep end as im returning from DWE with over 4 months of data.
Im still few weeks away with my current speed, but i really dont want to find out that i have lost like 100-150 millions worth of data.

Is this an issue which is looked into and if theres lost data, is it possible to return now as before it wasnt?
And not only the money, but i recon i have hundreds of first discoveries and if those are lost it hurts more than losing the money..
It would really suck to return only to find out that i have lost everything because of the update glitch.

Not seen the reports, but I had a small amount of data between 2.0 and 2.1 that I cashed in (only a page) so don't lose all hope.

But I've seen that Frontier can't restore exploration data or firsts if their is a problem previously.....

I had that issue when i logged in my 2nd account. Raised a ticket and bug thread.

Logged back in today and it's back. Others have reported the same, so it looks like it may have been some kind of sync issue between 2.0 & 2.1

Perhaps a stupid question .... Where do is check if my data is still available ? Exploring for a month now ... But where can is een what data i have ( except during selling ).

Do you remember a system that you have scanned during your trip to black ? if so could you check if you can see the system map ? isn't that a way to find out ?

Sure ... But check the link posted earlier. That bug report said that the guy could see on the map his data was there .... But nothing available to sell

Would be nice feature anyway .... That you can check and see whats available data you gathered to sell.

2.2 perhaps :)

As a software developer, I know on the back end that exploration data is just a big database. I'm sure each commander has a database table also that contains their exploration data. During version updates sometimes databases get migrated. Sometimes migrations get done by hand. Sometimes a certain table might get left out of a query by accident. That's why people keep backup databases. Frontier are professionals and I'm sure once they realized the issue then they quickly and effortlessly restored it from a backup.

Haha OK maybe not "effortlessly". But y'know, "painlessly." Doing stuff on databases is usually not effortless, heh.
