Exploration Data & Influence Gains

In regards to selling exploration data, a source I have that's admittedly old says there's a cap of 10 million credits per day for selling exploration data to a controlling faction to increase their system influence. Is this still applicable or has this been changed?

Afaik its 5 million credits.

It's not so much a cap as an amount above which selling seems to start hurting the faction rather than help it. Selling around 7-8MCr of data will make you ally with that faction, more than that doesn't help either you or the faction, afaik.

I recently sold 150M at a station where the controlling faction (station not system) were looking to gain overall control. I sold it ok and it seemed to bring the influence % up over 75% and led eventually (with some missions) to the Federation gaining control after a short war
