Increasing the knowledge and data of the galaxy is a community project driven by the many CMDRs heading out into the black and scanning systems.
However updates of the commonly used databases like EDDN/EDDB and many others which take data from those (at least that's my understanding) take place only with data of CMDRs who are kindly using the EDDN add-on software and upload data.
It requires the software being installed/used. And it requires the game running on a PC.
All CMDR's data who either don't run the add-on software on PC or are exploring on console (XBox and PS4) are left out.
I believe the likelihood of a PC CMDR running in the black in a system discovered by a console CMDR previously and later on updating the database can be considered - (close to) zero.
(Having checked my first discoveries from last year I know I can't find any of those in EDDB one year later.)
As I'm convinced - or at least hope - that FDev must see in their database all data entries to all systems discovered so far I propose a regular update of EDDN with FDev data closing the gap between total system data discovered so far and the subset visible so far to the community via both the galaxy map and EDDN.
Thanks for considering.
