Just finished my 1st major outing and thought I'd post the economic results to give people who are new an idea of earning potential.
I went out to the Conflux and back to Tau Ceti. Approximately 9200LY each way so around 18400LY. My asp has a 45LY jump range.
I found many unexplored systems and I scanned most of the planets that I thought were valuable unless they involved long journeys to 2nd suns etc.
Handed in information from 469 systems (only 2 had earth likes)
Payment was 13.8 million credits
Bonus for 1st to explore was 4 million
Total credit earnings was 17.8 million
This works out to 967,000 credits per 1000LY
I was surprised how much the 1st to explore bonus added up to. Its definitely worth travelling a less obvious/direct path.
