Exploration: looking for The Magnificent Seven (neutron stars)

While looking up information about the area I was cruising through (after all, in 3300 every pilot will have a tablet with the entire contents of Wikipedia and more ) I came across The Magnificent Seven. I've been taking a few stabs in the Galaxy Map at some of the names listed, but so far I haven't been lucky to get any hits. That probably means these neutron stars are secondary stars, but then I have no idea how to go about finding them. Can anyone point me in the right direction to finding them (is there even a right direction, or will this just take a lot of luck?)

Ooh, that looks fun. I see that the neutron stars (or at least RX J1856.5-3754) are in the constellation Corona Australis, and Wikipedia offers a list of stars in there, it's not a huge list.

Looking for one of the stars in that list, HD 167096, brought up HR 6818 in game, which is the same star under a different catalog, as seen at the following link.

It's a G8, as expected.

Those neutron stars should all be in that area if they exist in game, just go through the list and explore the systems.

Cool, thanks. That's one more solid lead to put on the list at least Not quite sure they'd all be in the same area though, if I understand correctly, they're selected based on their closeness to earth. But yeah, your approach should help with at least some of them. I know what I'll be doing when I get home tonight

Oh I'd assume they can be hundreds of LY apart, but I meant in the same direction when coming from SOL. I've been going through the list in the galaxy map but I haven't seen any neutron stars. :/
