what i think would be a great idea would be to make the system names change to a different colour when they have been fully explored or maybe a tab on the galaxy map showing explored systems which would be helpful for knowing which systems have been explored fully and what ones still need to be completed and would also make exploring more interesting as you would slowly be able to see the whole galaxy map revealed as you explore more systems

No. Though, it would be cool to see which systems YOU have scanned at a glance. You can already do this by seeing if you can bring up a system map, but you do have to hover your mouse over the system to do that.
The problem with the OP is that it's good for the game to have loads and loads (and loads) of unexplored systems, well into the future. If you're signposted directly to unexplored systems you can bet some group or other would soon would be coming up with search patterns to try to hoover up the discovered by tags, basically preventing future players from having the unique experience of being first.

Well David Braben explain it this way. You can go on a holiday in a area like Paris. Visit it for a week or 2. But you never truly explore 100% it. I have to agree with him. I live in a small town Frazier Park Ca. I am still finding stuff. Like viewing the tops of the mountains last year for the First time in 20 years. Finding a Old Abandoned Gold mine. Viewing a water fall.
