Exploration Noob Questions

Greetings, Commanders. I'm not new to the game, but I am new to exploration, and after searching and not finding a definitive answer for this question, I thought I'd throw it out here for y'all:

Is the value of exploration data affected at all by WHERE you turn it in? Does increased distance mean more money? I know that I have to be 20LY away from the system that was scanned, but should I be taking the data far away to maximize profits?

It doesn't seem to matter how far you take it, at least not to any significant degree. By far the biggest factor on how much you get paid for it is the content and quality of the system in question, and whether those details have been scanned before.

The answer to your question is NO.

If the data is not in red you will get MAX profitsss :D No matter where, or what station.... CURRENTLY :)
