I don't do it for the cash, but damn that's nice . Seems that TF HMC is the new golden goose.

Taking an average of 350,000 credits per terraformable that would have been 4.2 million credits. Depends on their mass of course. I've seen up to 460,000 credits for a single terraformable.

Yeah, I round a THMC up to 500k including first finders fees. The maths works fairly well on hundreds+ systems. So, a system with 12 of them could most likely have gotten you above 20 million with maxed bonuses from Yong-Rui

It's luckily for you not completely unlikely to find similarly valued systems. The best I've found (on my secondary non-explorer CMDR, obviously) was around 6.8 M with the first finders bonus.

Taking an average of 350,000 credits per terraformable that would have been 4.2 million credits. Depends on their mass of course. I've seen up to 460,000 credits for a single terraformable.

They do pay quite well, when you get the full terraformable bonus. 460k is pretty near the upper limit. (payout is based on mass, with upper cutoff at 2 Gs)

Terraformable Water Worlds can pay more, near to 700k. But there are fewer of them, and certain types (such as high temp ammonia atmospheres) have a high chance of no terra bonus.

My last trip (68 days) netted over 1.4 B credits.

I am exploring until the end of the year so will be interested in what payout I get, compared to when I first went out over three years ago. This is the first time in a Cobra MKIV and I must admit although the jump range is not what I can get in my Asp or Anaconda the fuel scooping is quick and easy as it never seems to overheat, and is so much fun canyon flying.

TF HMC are what got me into more detailed exploration rather than just a simple honk. I've had a number of systems where there have been 2-3 TF HMC, which nets a cool Cr 1m+ for each system! Only downside is that it's taking me just that bit longer to reach Beagle's Point...

Nice! I think I may have had one or two of those already, but never thought to label it as such. I need something else to look out for - 4- and 5-star systems are more common than I first thought.

My highest payout system so far is 4.2 mil. It had a bunch of Terra HMCs and an Earthlike, and a Terra Rocky World, plus the first discovery bonus on the whole system. Have to look thru the logs to find the name of that system.
