Exploration profits shared with NPC crew?

Are exploration profits shared with NPC crew? If I have an active NPC pilot on board, will a share of the profits "go to her"? If so, how much?

Yes, all profits are shared with your NPC crew, including exploration profits. The percentage is what you agreed to pay them when hiring. I think the maximum payout is 12%.

You can always fire them before handing your data in.

Thank you, I think I won't be activating the NPC for the voyage. Erm, they need to be active to get a share, right?

I don't think they have to be active to get a share, just in your employment.

Yah I have fired 3 elite pilots for this very reason..If you forget, it can cost you dearly on a big exploration voyage (60-odd million in my case)

But it is certain that inactive crew takes a share, too? Even if you take a ship that can't have any additional crew, like AspX?

Yes...even if they are inactive and not even on the ship...mine made 60 million drinking on my tab in the bar at Jameson. I can confirm this. and the more crew you have, the more they can bleed you for, even noncombat pay
